The idea of a key park on the eastside of downtown Faribault started back in 2015 when the official 2040 Vision was approved by the city council. But long before then, citizens and community leaders envisioned an area of the riverside as a beautiful public space for residents to gather and connect. This dream is now a reality.
Faribault has an outstanding park system, with trails and fields and courts and many play structures for children and families to enjoy. Our newest park will feature fresh and new amenities to our current system and will be a crowning jewel for Faribault recreation.​

Viaduct Park, is underway, and will boast a water feature, multipurpose building, green space, and many decorative touches. This park will become a beloved destination for community members and visitors alike. The recreational opportunities and public use (outside of reserved, exclusive use for private events) will be free of charge for participation. This, paired with its ideal connection to the City’s extensive trail system, will result in a fully accessible regional park.
