CommUnity Thanksgiving Dinner
It comes together almost like magic every year. The Community comes together to offer a Free Thanksgiving Dinner for absolutely anyone and everyone. No sign up or paperwork or age requirements. If you would like to come, consider yourself invited!
The event is on Thanksgiving Day at the Faribault Eagles Club at 2027 Grant Street in Faribault, serving from 11 am – 1 pm. People come with families and on their own. They come every year or just occasionally. You can come to the Eagles and enjoy a sit-down dinner, or you can call or pick up or home delivery. (you can even put the meal in your grandma’s dishes and pretend you made it yourself!)
Volunteers show up the evening before at the Eagles Club to set tables and peel potatoes. Volunteers are needed Thanksgiving morning starting at 9 am and throughout the day for kitchen help, meal servers, clean up and take out help. Drivers are needed for home delivery of pre-ordered meals. Meals can be ordered for delivery by calling Buckham West.
Volunteer are welcome to just show up – no call or registration needed.
The meal is organized by Laura and Travis McColley.
