The Faribault Rotary Club and the Faribault Foundation are excited to announce that the Rotary Club is the sponsor of the Splash Pad at Viaduct Park.

A gift of $100,000, over five years from the Faribault Rotary Club, represents a long-sought after and visible gift to the community that will benefit youth and families and raise awareness of Rotary at the same time.

Rotary President Mark Kenney provided this statement: For over 100 years the Faribault Rotary Club has been investing in the youth of our community. We are thrilled to sponsor this amazing addition to our downtown area that is sure to bring joy to kids and families for years to come!

Mark added; “We are people of action who want to bring solutions. Many have expressed a desire for more activities for young people in our city. We are excited to do our part to help make this a reality.”

This very visible sponsorship is one of many Rotary projects that benefit the community. Rotary grants more than $20,000. in scholarships annually through the STRIVE program and music programs in our schools. Rotary sponsors the Little Falcons and Little Feat programs and a field at the soccer complex. The Faribault Rotary Club is part of the Warm Our Community Project.

Mayor Tom Spooner had these comments: “The City of Faribault is grateful for the many ways Rotary serves the community. This is another example of their service and generosity.”

The Faribault Foundation is working with local businesses, and philanthropists to support and sponsor elements of Viaduct Park. There are many amenities available for sponsorship in phase one and later this fall phase two amenities will be available for sponsorship.

A ribbon cutting for the first phase of Viaduct Park is scheduled for Thursday November 13th from 3:30 5:30 pm at the park location. Phase one sponsors will be recognized and the public is invited for music, entertainment, prize drawings and more.
