The Hand Up Campaign

 

In 2023  the Faribault Foundation embarked on a transformation of the community foundation. Policies and procedures were vetted and approved for operating as a dynamic resource for community philanthropy. This builds on our long history of raising funds and helping organizations with small grants. The Hand Up Campaign is seeking support from key investors to encourage philanthropy focused on improving quality of life in Faribault in perpetuity. The Hand Up Campaign allowa us to maintain professional systems in both human and technology resources to fulfill our mission.

The short-term goals is to raise $2.5 million pledged over 5 years, that will allow the Faribault Foundation the working capacity to stabilize staff and technology to steward the funds.  Half of the funds raised will be used for operating and the rest will be endowed in a discretionary Founders Fund. The long-term goal is to manage resources of $10 million or more; endowed through component funds of the Faribault Foundation.

 

Participants in the Hand Up Campaign are recognized in perputuity as members of the Founders Society.
